Monthly Movement: Egyptian Yoga With Evelyn Wolf

Our October movement practice is an Egyptian Yoga practice, hosted by Evelyn Wolf.

Join us for a transformative journey through Afrikan Yoga, a dynamic practice that harmonizes movement, breath, and spiritual connection rooted in the rich traditions of ancient Africa. Afrikan Yoga, inspired by the practices of ancient Egypt (Kemet) and the spiritual heritage of the African continent, offers a unique approach to wellness that nurtures the mind, body, and soul.

Your host, Evelyn Wolf, is a certified Somatic Coach and Afrikan Yoga teacher, who is passionate about supporting you in accessing the wisdom that lies in your body.

During this 90-minute session, you will:

  • Connect with Ancestral Energy: Through mindful movement and rhythmic breathwork, tap into the life force and wisdom of the ancestors, drawing strength from their enduring legacy.
  • Flow with Nature: Experience postures and sequences inspired by the elements—earth, water, fire, and air—celebrating the interconnectedness of all life and your place within it.
  • Awaken Inner Harmony: Embrace the principles of Ma'at, the ancient Egyptian concept of balance, truth, and cosmic order, as you cultivate inner peace and alignment in your practice.
  • Celebrate African Heritage: Move to the sounds of traditional African rhythms, creating a sacred space that honors the spirit of community and collective healing.

Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, Afrikan Yoga invites you to explore a practice that is deeply rooted in cultural heritage and spiritual empowerment. Come with an open heart and leave with a renewed sense of connection to yourself, your ancestors, and the world around you.

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable clothing for movement
  • A yoga mat or towel
  • An open mind and spirit

Both practices are valuable to coaches and non-coaches and are accessible to all abilities.
